This saree brings the soft fluidity of mul and the unique textures of viscose slub together in a blend.
The mul cotton is what we call ‘made in heaven’ at Suta. Known in some parts of India as mul mul, the fabric is buttery soft, flow and delicately beautiful. It is also very light and feels like second skin. With the right care, it becomes softer and softer with every wash and truly feels like a hug that wraps you in its love!
Viscose is a biodegradable, sustainable fabric that is made using regenerated cellulose fibre. It is a man-made, manufactured fibre of cellulose origin that is produced using natural materials derived from wood pulp. The fabric is versatile, drapes beautifully, has an added sheen to it that lends a beautiful touch and the slub texture (slightly lumpy threads in places) makes it a delight to wear.

Some said she was too bright, some said she was plain strange. Some said she was fishing for attention, some said she just had nothing better to do. This saree is named after, and the story is inspired by, the Marine Lorikeet, an endangered species of bird.
